What to do with $600

A random blog came up in a Google alerts e-mail I got this morning with an interesting idea.  The author is so fed up with the idea of the government's stimulus package that he thought about publicly burning the money.  Since he decided that would be wasteful (and maybe illegal?) he is asking his readers for suggestions of charities where he can donate his $600 (I might know of one...).  While I am sure that the readers of this blog have different views on this stimulus package, the vast majority of us are getting $600 and will receive it by today!

Now, its your money and you can do whatever you want with it.  I am not suggesting that you give it all away, but we will all have a little bit extra money in our pockets - use some of it to make the world a better place.  We have seen a devastating cyclone and earthquake in the past week and I am sure that the people in those countries could use help. If you don't know where to donate you can always search charities on networkforgood.org or change.org.
