Buzzing 4 Change

B4C @ GWU

In just three years, Buzzing for Change has become the highest profile charity event on the GW campus. Since 2003, over 660 GW students have buzzed their heads and over 200 students have cut their hair for Locks of Love at the event. Almost $75,000 has been raised to improve the lives of children who are battling cancer.

Now in its 5th year, Buzzing for Change is a GW institution – as recognizable as events like Fall Fest or Spring Fling. While we jokingly refer to Buzzing for Change on our campus as “the lazy man’s walk-a-thon” it is one of the most inspirational events of the year. Ever since its founding, B4C has been one of the most esteemed student organizations on this campus not only because it raises awareness and funds for children battling cancer, but also because it strives to create a culture of caring in the GW community.
