Want to have a fun evening with friends while supporting a great cause?? The Buzzing for Change Foundation is hosting a bar fundraiser just for you on April 16th! A $5 donation gets you drink specials from 8-10 pm at the newly renovated Sign of the Whale!
The Buzzing for Change Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2006 to support Buzzing for Change programs at colleges around the country. It does this by recruiting new programs, training student leaders to run them, providing start up funds and support systems, and coordinating national initiatives. This year the Foundation is supporting B4C events at the George Washington University, Drexel University, Bryn Mawr College, and the University of Pittsburgh. Also, the Foundation will be co-hosting our first national event called "Buzzing in Boston" on April 10. At each event, participants raise money while buzzing their heads in solidarity with cancer patients and/or cutting their hair to donate to an organization that makes wigs for kids with cancer. Last year, our programs raised $28,000 to donate to Specialove and The Children's Hospital Foundation, which work with kids with cancer to improve their quality of life.
