Get Those Donations in Soon!

Donations for the 2011 programs will close this Friday.  This way, we can add everything up and get the big checks to our wonderful charities.  So donate online or send a check and we'll make sure your donation is counted.

(Fine Print: Donations to the Foundation are accepted year round.  These help our programs keep costs down.  And, of course, any donations meant for a specific program that we receive after June 3rd will still be given to the charity; we'll just include it in the numbers for next year)

Opening Day

Welcome to our new website!

Just when you thought we were going to be on our old site forever and never march into the 21st century, here we are.  This site is at least 2 years in the making and, while the new look is impressive, we have also implemented a better way to manage our events and data, improved our personal campaign pages (with thermometers to show how much you have raised!) and improved credit card processing capabilities.

I could sit here all day and tell you about it, but I will let the site speak for itself.  Take a look around and enjoy!

Shopping Online? Support B4C too!

Since it's getting close to end-of-year shopping time, I just wanted to remind everyone about GoodShop. They have a partnership with most online merchants so that we can get a percentage of anything you purchase online. All you have to do is go to GoodShop's website and designate "The Buzzing for Change Foundation." Then, click through from their website to any other online store and shop away!

Help TB4CF Change the World

Interested in helping B4C on a national level, while expanding your leadership experience and hanging out with a super cool group of people?

The Buzzing for Change Foundation helps oversee all of the Buzzing for Change programs, which is a lot of work. We're an all volunteer organization and are always searching for more people to contribute their time to make Buzzing great! (also, did I mention that we're super cool??)

2010 Donations Closing May 15th

To all those friends who adore doing things last minute, well, this is it.  You have 10 more days to send in gratuitously large checks for your favorite B4C program (and participant).  So, clean out that piggy bank, skip coffee for a week, or wait a week to splurge on that coveted bocce set to support children living with cancer.  Check out "Support B4C!" on the menu to the left to find out how.
PS.  Any donations received after that date will be credited to the program's 2011 event, but we'll send your money ASAP to the proper charity.

A tribute to a great teacher

The following was composed by three TB4CF Board members as a tribute to our retiring professor.  Honey Nashman is the founder and outgoing director of The Human Services Program at The George Washington University, where Buzzing for Change was founded.
Dear Honey,

How do you catch the buzz?

Last night I was at a Sixers game with the Drexel program.  They had made up shirts for the game that said "catch the buzz."  One of the guys who was taking those photos that you can buy came by and asked "How do you catch the buzz?"  While the incident was funny, it was one of those you needed to be there type of moments, but it did get me thinking...

Foundation Fundraiser!

Want to have a fun evening with friends while supporting a great cause??  The Buzzing for Change Foundation is hosting a bar fundraiser just for you on April 16th!  A $5 donation gets you drink specials from 8-10 pm at the newly renovated Sign of the Whale!

We do cool stuff

In case there was any doubt.
Here's a photo from the Bryn Mawr event that happened today, March 31, 2010.
Congratulations to Bryn Mawr for successfully hosting its second Buzzing for Change event to benefit the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia!
